Versatile Power Announces New BENCH XR RO Series Programmable DC Power Supplies

FEBRUARY 1, 2021, CAMPBELL, CALIF. – – – Versatile Power, Inc. a technology leader in the design and manufacture of commercial power supplies and custom electronic subsystems, announces their new BENCH XR RO Series of 600W Programmable DC Power Supplies designed with rear positive and negative output terminals. These new programmable power supplies include LXI, an instrument connectivity standard that allows engineers to access their instruments remotely via a built-in Ethernet interface. Five models of the U.S.A.-built BENCH XR RO Series offer output power to 600 Watts.

The five (5) models of the U.S.A.-built BENCH XR RO Series offer rear positive and negative output connections allowing for simpler and cleaner bench top operation A mating connector is supplied with each unit allowing for a wide range of user connection options. BENCH XR RO Series offer output power to 600 Watts, DC output current to 33 amps and DC output voltage to 400V. The LXI connectivity is included with all BENCH XR Series power supplies at no additional cost.

Additional features include: the Lowest Price Per Watt; 75 Percent Smaller in Size than a leading competitor; Full Digital Control – the Fastest and Most Accurate Available; SCPI Compliant USB with LabVIEW Driver and Analog Control Ports; Digital Encoders for Excellent Reliability and Accuracy; Wireless Digital Remote Sense; Built-In Voltage and Current Measurement; and Full OCP (Over-Current Protection) and OVP (Over-Voltage Protection) Protection.The BENCH XR RO Series is a high-density 1U design which measures just 1.73 in. (44 mm) High x 8.82 in. (224 mm) Wide x 10.30 in. (262 mm) Deep and Weighs only 6 lbs. (2.7 Kg). An optional rack-mount kit is available for using one or two BENCH XR OR power supplies in a standard 1U 19-inch wide rack configuration.

AE expands presence in the growing medical market with field-proven low power RF technology

DENVER, Colo., January 8, 2021 — Advanced Energy (Nasdaq: AEIS) – a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement, and control solutions – today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Versatile Power, a Campbell California based provider of radio frequency (RF) and programable power supplies for medical and industrial applications. This strategic acquisition further expands AE’s presence in the medical market by adding proven technologies, deep customer relationships, and a talented technical team with expertise in medical design and a medical-certified manufacturing center.
